Congratulations!
At the National Welsh & Welsh Part-Bred Show at
Shrewsbury, not only did our member Jamie Frost win the WPCS Young
Judges Competition on Saturday evening but John and Maggie Carter won
the Rhydspence National Supreme Section B Championship held at
Shrewsbury on Sunday with their homebred broodmare Millcroft
Dahlia. They qualified to enter the mare on the day having
won the Brightwells Section B in hand Championship. There were
several other members there but as I was stewarding I do not have the
full results but heard their names being read out in the results on the
PA!
The standard in the young judges competition is very high and the
judges Len Bigley and Kathleen James said they had a tough task in
placing the competitors. Jamie won the older age group and then
was awarded the Overall Championship. This is quite an
achievement.
