SWA GUESS THE NUMBER OF TREATS IN THE TUBE

SWA GUESS THE NUMBER OF TREATS IN THE TUBE
as seen at the Westcountry Equine Fair & SWA Christmas Lunch.

Many congratulations to Ellie Dorill of Somerset, the winner of this highly successful competition whose guess was the closest to the actual number of treats – 713. Well done Ellie who was thrilled to have won such a large hamper of prizes which varied from 2 tickets to the RHS Malvern Spring Festival (Flower Show), Fleece rug, various horsey treats, 2 bags of feed, whip bags, numnah, £10 voucher from Redpost, Just Chaps, childs fleece and more……

Thank you very much to everyone who took part and to Bex Vinnicome for sourcing the prizes and organising the competition.

Thank you for your time & effort in bringing your ponies to the Equine Fair.

Saturday & Sunday, 7th & 8th December  CHRISTMAS EQUINE FAIR, Westpoint, Devon County  Showground.   We had a stand there (No 1) as in previous years and we have once again been lucky  enough to receive funding from the WPCS towards the cost.  Many thanks to those members who manned the stand on Saturday Belinda Watson, Anna Richards,  Bex Vinnicombe, Sue & Janet Hardy.  Sunday Anne Brice, Judy Pring, Vicky Stephens and Anne & Stewart Franklin.

Also many thanks to Bex as she not only provided the column of horse treats that people had to guess how many there were but also arranged the prize – a hamper full of all sorts of goodies, for example 2 tickets to the RHS Malvern 2020 Flower Show, whip covers, key rings, tie, horse rugs, chaps plus many other items.    The cloth and bunting with our SWA logo printed on them.  Bex must have spent hours doing all this and asking firms and business to donate items for the hamper.

Vicky Stephens says “Really enjoyed my stint on the SWA of WPCS stand on Sunday at the Equine Fair, great way of meeting new people. Would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated prizes for our hamper 👏 . Result next Saturday at Christmas lunch!
One thing which really struck me was how many Welsh ponies are out there doing all sorts of jobs and people don’t know we run performance competitions they could be entering! We are not just about breeding!! They all need a job and what ever it is we love to hear about them!! Please spread the word and check out our website plus the main society website too.😁
